NSW Transport and Infrastructure and Blue Mountains Bus Company are pleased to announce a new bus network for the Blue Mountains will commence on 18 January, 2010, following community consultation.


As part of the NSW Government’s bus reform, Blue Mountains Bus Company will provide bus services in this area. Working closely with NSW Transport and Infrastructure, Blue Mountains Bus Company has developed a new bus network that will provide improved services to major centres such as Katoomba whilst maintaining links to employment, educational and recreational facilities.

New printed timetables are available from Blue Mountains Bus Company and advertisements about the changes will be placed in local papers.

Network performance and passenger feedback will be closely monitored for the first six months of operation. An annual service review will then be carried out each year.

  • The new bus network introduces changes which provides the community with access to a greater number of bus transport options including:
  •  

  • • increased services to local hospitals;

  • • new service to Yellow Rock;
    • improved services to Emu Plains shopping centre; and
    • improved weekend services to Hazelbrook.
    All schools have been notified of the network changes.
