Sydney BusesRegion 8 Proposed Bus Network Changes

Region 8, taking in the Lower North Shore and Northern Beaches, is now undergoing community consultation for bus reform. The community consultation for Region 8 is being carried out by Sydney Buses, please click here to visit the consultation website.

The proposed changes will benefit the local community with a bus network that will:

  • deliver more direct services to Warringah Mall, Manly and Sydney;
  • provide a peak hour link between Elanora Heights and Sydney CBD;
  • provide increased service between Balmoral and Sydney CBD;
  • improve link between Manly Hospital and Warringah Mall;
  • simplify stopping patterns for express and limited stops services;
  • improve the reliability of services;
  • operate at reasonable frequencies; and 
  • be accessible to the majority of the community.
